Course Description
Elective course for third- or fourth-year medical students emphasizing the role of radiology in diagnosis of diseases of the musculoskeletal system. Especially useful for the student planning a career in orthopedic surgery, emergency medicine, sports medicine and rheumatology.
Format: Attend daily readout sessions (radiography, computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, ultrasonography). Observe musculoskeletal procedures. Attend Musculoskeletal resident and subspecialty conferences.
4th year students have priority. 4th year students must take this elective as a 4-week rotation; the 3-week rotation is available only to 3rd year students.
