This course will provide a foundation of understanding regarding the scientific bases and audiological management of implantable hearing devices. This course will include the basic operation and history of cochlear implant technology, associated anatomy, medical and surgical aspects, current candidacy criteria and assessment, coding and programming strategies, and counseling considerations.
