Course Description
Course is a week-long set of clinical experiences (located off-campus across the valley) following most of the major organ system blocks in the first and second years. The course is intended to link basic science content with clinical applications pertinent to the previous organ system blocks, to provide opportunities to observe the team approach to health care and to encourage the students to reflect on the path to becoming a physician. Students will be introduced to a variety of health care personnel, patients, procedures and experiences that assist to build their clinical skills and understanding of health care delivery in a variety of settings. In addition this course allows for time for career pathway education and advising, as well as remediation if necessary.
