This overall goal of this course is to teach methods for finding the best evidence, translating it in practice for achieving optimum healthcare outcomes and solving practice problems, and evaluating the outcomes achieved. Topics covered include: evaluating sources of evidence such as research studies, practice guidelines, meta-analyses, and data generated from practice; generating evidence through practice to guide improvements in practice and outcomes of care; translating evidence into policy, dissemination and use of evidence, and understanding the synergy of practice based evidence and science based evidence.
