Course format includes didactic lectures and demonstrations of skills required for history taking and physical exam completion. Students will practice skills with faculty, peers and standardized patients. Each student attends one 4-hour session every other week (either on a Tuesday or a Wednesday or a Thursday with some exceptions; see course syllabus for detailed dates and times) for the duration of years 1 and 2 in the medical school curriculum. All sessions will occur within the Clinical Education Suite. While various faculty from multiple disciplines teach in this course, the course is assigned a leadership team consisting of a director, co-director and coordinator (see course syllabus for detailed personnel information).
