Course Description
This course provides an introduction to social science research in the law. The goal of the course is for students to learn sufficient statistical techniques that they will be able to design a research project and critique other research projects. Students will also learn about communicating and presenting empirical questions and results. The first two-thirds of the course will cover research methods and statistical techniques, and the remaining third of the course will involve reading and critiquing other empirical papers. Some previous familiarity with statistical techniques is helpful, but not required.
