Course Description
Students will be exposed to and engage critically with the ways in which minoritized student populations (e.g., working-class, poor, students of color, learning disabled, undocumented, English Language Learners and students in the LBGTQ+ community experience (K-12) schooling--past and present. Course topics will be examined from an integrated social science perspective. Consequently, students will have opportunities to critically analyze and reflect on the ways in which various social factors (race, class, gender identity, home language, etc.) are likely to shape students' K-12 educational access and experiences.
