Course Description
Qualitative, non-statistical social science research can form the basis of important discoveries about individuals, organizations, and societies. This course addresses both theoretical and practical dimensions of conducting qualitative research. It is intended to provide an overview of particular techniques in research design, data collection, and data analysis most commonly associated with qualitative research. Case studies, interviews, and focus groups contribute insight and depth to our understanding of the human condition and shed light on processes that may not be identifiable using big data sets.
