Course Description
Academic methods for teaching students with high incidence disabilities at the Secondary level including learning disabilities, attention deficit disorders, mild intellectual disabilities, emotional/behavioral disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, and language impairments. Focus is on the acquisition of oral language, reading comprehension, written expression, and math problem solving strategies. Emphasis is on development and implementation of individualized educational programs and the use of evidence-based instructional methodologies.
