Course Description
This is a developmental course that will serve students in the College of Social & Behavioral Sciences that will be participating in Wildcat Academy. The focus is on developing skills that assist freshmen in making a successful transition from high school to college. Attention will also be given to broader skill development in the context of the social sciences. Students will be exposed to the fields, disciplines, and approaches that shape the social sciences and will develop strategies in a supportive environment in confronting academic issues and skills, learning strategies, leadership issues, problem solving, life skills and character development, communication skills, time management skills, major and career planning.
Please note: Units from this course will count toward full time eligibility for scholarships, financial aid and other campus related activities; however, units from this course will not count toward graduation requirements.
