Educators--librarians and faculty alike--require expertise in effective teaching as our students navigate the ever-expanding information landscape. Learning to use, create, and critique information is complex and requires thoughtful instructional design. This course provides a foundation for critical and inclusive approaches to teaching information literacy. Understanding associated learning theories, instructional praxis, critical and inclusive pedagogy, the evolution of teaching information literacy, and current professional discourse about teaching and learning, students in this course will build expertise and resources to confidently teach information literacy.
