Course Description

In this course, students will study the basic relationship between biostatistics, experimental design and analysis to critically evaluate and understand the scientific literature. They will learn principles of data management, understand how public biomedical databases are designed and integrated to support knowledge generation and apply principles of statistical and experimental design to critically review scientific articles for their applicability to clinical, real-life scenarios. Students will gain a working knowledge of how data science affects traditional animal sciences, veterinary science and biomedicine.
