The Psychosocial Intervention Practicum is intended to provide advanced students in the doctoral program in clinical psychology with introductory training in the applied dimensions of psychotherapeutic interventions. The practicum uses a primarily cognitive behavioral therapy framework for course instruction, but students are exposed to a range of intervention techniques. In addition to a weekly seminar meeting, students provide outpatient psychotherapy services to a small number of clients in the Psychology Department Clinic.
