Course Description

Students enrolled in this course will work in teams to deliver one or more of several pre-approved projects that support the implementation of Sustainability and Climate Action initiatives. Projects range from composting, gardening, rainwater harvesting, recycling, environmental justice, food choices and their impacts, green athletic events, energy and climate, environmental arts, and more. These collaborative initiatives promote a culture of sustainability across the university and wider community, and the development of a student population meaningfully engaged in developing solutions to the sustainability challenges that our community, and our world, face. With support from instructors, students will gain hands-on experience in project management by planning, executing, and delivering real-world sustainability projects. Additionally, students will gain practical skills in communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement.
