Course Description

In this course, students will use cultural and critical theory to better understand and analyze social contexts. The aim of the course is to further working knowledge of foundational approaches to the critical theorization of society and culture through applied theory, with attention as well to the status of art, politics, law, economics, and psychic life. Typically operating as a team-taught course by two faculty members from different units, SCCT 510 will address an annually selected \"problem\" in social and cultural contexts whose potential answers the course will explore and compare.
