Course Description
This course offers an introduction to, and broad overview of, the field of Organic Geochemistry - the structure and fate of organic molecules in the geosphere. Students interested in using organic geochemical techniques in an academic, environmental, or petroleum industry setting will find this course useful as a rigorous introduction to the discipline. Graduate level requirements include the completion of an additional laboratory-based research project, the writing a research paper that summarizes the results of this project, and a brief presentation to the class summarizing the project and outcomes.
