Course Description
This course is designed to explore the normative and practical issues surrounding authoritarian rule. The focus of the course will be on differentiating authoritarian regimes from democracies; differentiating authoritarian regimes from themselves; and measuring the impact of authoritarian rule on economic development, rule of law, investment, and regime durability.Â
