CTS515 - Molecular and Cellular Foundations of Immunology
Course ID
039852
Course Description
The course provides an understanding of how the immune system is able to recognize a diverse array of pathogens, discriminate between self- and non-self, and make appropriate responses to infection. The lectures offer students a fundamental understanding of the major cellular and molecular components of the immune system, and how these have evolved to recognize and respond to infection. The Friday Discussion sessions covers landmark papers in immunology; students will be assigned to small groups to prepare presentations on the assigned papers and lead class discussion.
