Course Description

Students will engage in a survey of US American business norms, compare them to practices elsewhere, and reflect upon instances where they did or did not follow such etiquette in a professional setting along with the results.

The course is structured to give students tools and techniques to succeed on the job; expose them to rules of ethics (especially competence, communication, conflicts and confidentiality) and principles of professionalism; provide them with professional mentorship and problem-solving techniques; create a means for significant structured reflection and feedback; and look ahead toward their additional education and their career with insights to make the experience more valuable. Components of the course include meetings and written papers.
