Course Description

This two-unit advanced elective course covers the therapeutic use of antineoplastic agents in the treatment of selected malignancies. The course covers pathophysiology and treatment of solid organ and hematologic malignancies, the practical use of antineoplastic agents, and provision of supportive care. Cases are used to emphasize integration and application of principles and clinical reasoning to the development of rational treatment and monitoring plans for patients with cancer, with an emphasis on oncology pharmacy practice.
