Course Description

This course is designed to provide students with theoretical and practical knowledge of clinical supervision and teaching models, methods and issues. The course explores supervisory and instructor roles, evaluation methods, research, legal and ethical issues, and socio-cultural issues. A portion of the course will involve doctoral students providing in-class supervision to students engaged in counseling role plays. Students will also be assigned one or more topics to present in a 2.5 hour masters class and will receive in-class supervision and feedback from both the instructor and from peers.
