Course Description

In this course students will apply the principles of companion animal behavior for the three most common companion animals in the United States (dogs, cats and horses). Students will learn how to effectively improve animal welfare and improve the human-animal relationship. Course topics covered will include individual behavior assessments, captive environment assessments, behavior modification and environmental management. Students will also learn how to effectively present research findings using graphics and text that is visually interesting and accessible.
