Course Description
The goals of this course are to teach you the principles of pharmacology and medicinal chemistry to give you a basic working knowledge of all the major classes of drugs that are in therapeutic use today. This knowledge will focus on the mechanisms of drug action, drug structure/activity relationships, major therapeutic indications, and potential drug interactions and side effects. The need and importance of continuing education will be emphasized, as the therapeutic use of drugs is an ever-changing field.
