CMM532 - Advanced Genetic Interaction

Cellular & Molecular MedicineGraduateUA - UA General

Course ID

040278

Course Description

The function of genes lies at the heart of heritability and variation in biology. Understanding genetic mechanisms and genetic interactions is essential to understanding foundational concepts like developmental biology, cell physiology, evolution, and disease. Genes are not isolated units, and cannot be properly understood as if they are. Genes interact with each other to create complex phenotypes and emergent phenomena. This course will examine interacting genetic systems with emphasis on understanding failure of normal interactions such that human disease may result.
