Humanities, Col ofUndergraduateUA - UA General

Course ID

040405

Course Description

HUMS 498 provides majors in their senior year with a capstone experience that ties together their work in world literature. Students collaborate with other world literature majors to analyze a highly diverse common core of literary texts from various regions and national literatures around the world that were written in the original language. All students write a rigorous research paper under the direction of a faculty mentor (not necessarily the instructor). They are required to present their findings publically in English in front of an audience that is not limited to the UA campus but open to the Tucson community at large.
