Course Description
This course explores the role of health systems in achieving global health goals. Case studies will be used to examine how health systems are designed to achieve the following goals: (i) universal access to health care; (ii) provision of care that is responsive to citizen's preferences and rights; (iii) protection of patients from harmful medical practices; and (iv) protection of citizens from disease outbreaks. Key issues in health systems will be explored.
