Course Description

This course will present concepts surrounding clinical and research topics in diabetes (type 1 and type 2), obesity, metabolism, and insulin resistance. The approach taken will integrate clinical knowledge with research findings and the techniques used to discover knowledge about these conditions. The course will be useful to pre-health science professions students (Medicine, Pharmacy, Nursing, Public Health), students planning a career in biomedical research, and students seeking additional training in clinical and translational sciences.
