Why do voters, candidates, and policy-makers make the decisions they do? In this course, we will review contemporary and classic research on the factors that influence political decision-making. We will look at decision-making among both the mass public and political elites, relying primarily on literature from behavioral economics, political psychology, and theories of rationality.
