Course Description
ECOL preceptors are highly motivated students who provide instructional support both in and out of the classroom for a course they have already completed. Preceptors are not expected to be content experts, but instead function as student mentors and guides, as well as instructional assistants. They complete specialized work on an individual basis, consisting of instructional practice in and service to actual ECOL courses with the goal of promoting independence in student learning. Students will gain leadership and mentoring skills while working with faculty and instructors.
