Course Description

The focus of this class is on the process for researching, planning, writing, and defending a doctoral dissertation of which law and policy is a significant component. It is designed primarily for SJD students and students in the AIS PhD program, but the course is also open to any doctoral student on campus. Students pursuing a minor in law as part of their PhD are encouraged to consider taking this course. SJD students are strongly encouraged to enroll in this course early in their SJD program. PhD students are strongly encouraged to enroll in this course shortly before or after taking their written and oral comprehensive exams.
