Course Description
The Elements of Drawing (Art 200) offers students a balanced and comprehensive curriculum of fundamental observational assignments. In Drawing 200, figure drawing is considered a prominent component of the discipline. Through a series of demonstrations and assignments, students will become proficient in both the technical and conceptual applications of numerous media including graphite, charcoal, conté crayon, pastels, and others at the instructor's discretion. Students will also be exposed to a wide variety of non-traditional materials, and will explore myriad ways of creating a \"work on paper\".
