Course Description

Learners will synthesize global nursing leadership knowledge including clinical care, management principles, health care policy and technology, health promotion/ risk reduction, and quality and safety principles. Learners assume a role on a leadership team and develop a comprehensive and coordinated care management plan for an at-risk population. Emphasis will be placed on the synthesis and integration of key program concepts using an application approach. This course will be completed over a full semester and includes 90 hours of global leadership immersion experiences (2 units). Students are expected to complete these hours through a combination of simulated learning and community-based clinical immersion.
