Course Description

This undergraduate course provides an overview of the role advanced digitization plays in the decision making of healthcare organizations, both hospitals and public health departments, on how to improve the care delivery of the populations they serve. Such improvement in health must consider the role social determinants play in the care delivery (e.g. income, education, social and ethnic culture, age, etc.) in one's ability to seek quality care at an affordable cost. Role of social and community organizations along with other clinical care providers outside a hospital will be discussed. Readings, discussions, and project- based assignments will be used to understand the issues and apply the concepts using appropriate dashboard tools.
