Course Description

This course is designed to prepare undergraduate and graduate students to develop skills in adapting and implementing, an evidence-based obesity prevention lifestyle and wellness program, Project Healthy Schools and Healthy Schools Arizona. The course advances student's knowledge of and skills in assessment of lifestyle behaviors with an emphasis on diet, physical activity, and stress management. Students work in teams to disseminate the Health curriculums to 6th-8th grade students from diverse backgrounds.
