Course Description
This course helps graduate students to find and evaluate funding opportunities in the social and behavioral sciences, and to make individual plans for pursuing research grants and fellowships. Depending on the units they sign up for, students can begin developing proposals and participate in guided self- and peer review of project narratives and other proposal components. Optional topics may include non-narrative proposal components (e.g., budgets, letters); managing teams; and funding in relation to career pathways. Skills gained will be transferrable to a range of professions that require development and leadership of a portfolio of funded projects.
