Course Description
During practicum III, all efforts will be made to place students in K-12 settings with a professional educational interpreter as a mentor for 90 hours of interpreting experience. Supervising interpreters will provide the student ongoing, informal feedback and will provide the practicum instructor written feedback on the student during the semester (SERP 494D). Students will meet with practicum instructor and other students weekly to discuss interpreting experiences (SERP 497D). An instructor will observe students at least once during the semester. At the end of the semester, students will take a formal EIPA evaluation.
