Course Description

This 2-day short course is designed for junior- to mid-level mining engineers and metallurgists and introduces the role of geologists and geology at each stage of the mine planning process, from exploration to environmental remediation. Topics include ore deposit geology and mineralogy; geometallurgy; geological models and block models; geological inputs to geotechnics; ore control; and environmental geology. No prior knowledge of geology is required.
