PHP210 - Later Life Health and Wellbeing Across Populations
Course ID
041847
Course Description
Are there within-group and across-group differences that impact the experience of aging? Aging is a universal experience; yet, within the older adult population, heterogeneity can be observed in how various groups experience later life.
In this course, we take an interdisciplinary approach to examine the factors that create or increase heterogeneity and how they act individually and intersect across the life course to influence the experiences of older adults, both individually and collectively. We also analyze the complexities of the resulting pluralistic aging society and the challenges and opportunities it offers for promoting health and well-being in later life.
