Course Description

The Internet is a technological marvel that has transformed all our lives. In this class, we will study both the protocols of the Internet and the current business applications of networking technologies. You will learn how the internet reliably move messages from one computer to another through different hardware and software components. You will also gain essential technical understanding to evaluate and integrate networking technologies into sustainable business. The course will also have several projects that involve programming (in Python) the network. You should know programming and data structures, but we will provide guidance for you to learn enough Python on-the-fly to complete the projects.
