This course will present the emerging international framework for development of mineral resources, with a focus on how these frameworks optimize environmental management and the sustainable social and economic benefits of the sector. While many of the readings and lectures presented in this course focus on the mining sector, the concepts are often drawn from and apply to a wide range of natural resource sectors.
