BSM101 - An Introduction to Medicine
Course Description
An Introduction to Medicine is the introductory course for the BS in Medicine concentration. It will explore clinically oriented problem-solving providing students a general overview of what \"Medicine\" means and the ability to apply it to their own personal goals and values. Students will have the opportunity to gain insight into how medicine applies to various disciplines involved in the health sciences. Students will also learn a structured approach to how healthcare providers think and will discuss how to choose valid and reliable resources for researching these topics. Through an interactive format, students will be introduced to core concepts in medicine and the roles that health care disciplines play in the care of the patient.
