Course Description
The One Health in One World coursework series runs over four consecutive semesters (VETM 805A, 805B, 805C, and 805D). It will focus on public health issues at the local, national, and international level with emphasis on the role of the veterinarian. Students will integrate their knowledge of the One Health concept to solve real world problems in various context, including, but not limited to, zoonotic disease, food safety, human-animal bond and ecosystem health. Students will build critical thinking skills in terms of evaluation and application of research relevant to One Health.
Throughout the four semesters students will develop One Health competencies, such as leadership, communication, teamwork and collaboration, preparing them to be both Day One ready veterinarians and One Health practitioners
