Course Description
This course is an introductory overview for the Bachelor of Science degree for Medicine. Medical Technology -- Past, Present and Future is a composite review for students to gain a foundational knowledge of the development and progression of medical equipment using chronological order of developments throughout time, the course reviews concepts of how and when medical technological devises emerged with the passage of medical advancements and in accordance with the progression of knowledge of medical and surgical techniques.
Students will learn through a variety of methodologies, but specifically with a variety of live, video, simultaneous transmissions from guest speakers. The course will be especially useful to pre-health science health professions (Medicine, Pharmacy, Nursing, Public Health).
