Course Description

Introduction to U.S. Legal Systems provides an overview of U.S. common law legal systems through an examination of the Constitution, the powers and limits of the three branches of government, and the organization of state and federal courts. In addition, this course introduces students to legal research, writing, and analysis in the U.S., and civil and criminal trial processes.
