In this class, students will work in collaborative teams to develop and conduct a short research project on data and code reproducibility in bioinformatics. This class will provide an opportunity for collaboration between students but will also allow them to present to- and connect with local members of the data science community. Students will conduct a survey assessing the accessibility, documentation, and reproducibility of previously published bioinformatics tools. Students will also conduct a survey of the current landscape and the evolution of these practices in bioinformatics.
