Course Description
The course covers several topics to provide students with the tools to be successful in their graduate program in public health. The students will start by being introduced to the higher education system in the United States, the University of Arizona and various institutional resources available to them. The content will then focus on the specific program requirements and resources available to them at a college level. There will be a special focus on preparing for their internship requirement by covering topics related to finding an internship in public health, meeting the MPH competencies, and satisfying their requirement. Different topics related to student success such as academic integrity, common writing and publishing practices in the U.S. and student-professor interactions will be covered.
