ENVS350 - Collaborative Environmental Problem Solving
Course ID
042310
Course Description
Environmental scientists frequently work in collaborative situations where multiple ways of understanding the world are present. The diversity of thinking present within many teams who work on environmental problems is a fundamental strength, but productive collaborations rely on teams that can identify and use their collective knowledge successfully. This course provides a broad overview of different ways of knowing relevant for environmental problem solving, theoretical and practical rationales for why collaborative approaches are commonly used to address environmental problems, an array of practical techniques useful for contributing to environmental team projects, and the opportunity to design a collaborative environmental project.
