MKTG620 - Marketing Theory and Conceptual Foundations 1
Course ID
042387
Course Description
This course is a doctoral seminar with the goal to lay the student's conceptual foundations surrounding topics in scholarly marketing research. This course is intended for students with a wide variety of interests and backgrounds, and will apply the \"Tell-Show-Do\" technique to give both a conceptual and an applied experience in using the course materials for thoughtfully and successfully conducting scholarly marketing research. The first part will be lectures and adjacent discussions in which I will highlight and review course topics. Reading the assigned materials prior to class and active involvement during the lecture will increase the value students gain from the course, as well as make it more interesting for everyone. The second part will be written assignments through which students will apply learnings from the lectures to actual scholarly marketing research problems. Similar to the expectations in other courses, preparation is paramount to making the in-class activities and our associated in-class discussions valuable.
