Course Description
This course addresses professional concerns for future music therapists, such as advocacy and licensure efforts, reimbursement and other funding strategies, developing program proposals and private practices, and understanding copyright law. This course will prepare students to take the CBMT exam as well as build skills in interviewing, designing a resume, and proposing a program. This course will also emphasize ethical decision making and reinforce issues surrounding confidentiality, boundaries, self-care, and more. Finally, students will have the opportunity to pursue a research project of their choice.
