This course creates an opportunity for the student to develop and demonstrate the core competencies of basic midwifery practice building on the content from previous semesters. Students under the supervision of a preceptor will engage in full time clinical practice across the scope of midwifery care with opportunities in the outpatient and birthing settings. Students will incorporate the knowledge, skills, and professional attributes that they have developed throughout the curriculum to demonstrate their ability to enter independent midwifery practice.
